Chappelle's Show: Season 2 Uncensored DVD brakes sales records

"The Chappelle's Show: Season 2 Uncensored" DVD has broken both the first day and seven-day sales records for TV on DVD titles with close to 500,000 units sold on its May 24 release date and over 1.2 million units sold during the first seven days. It is the fastest-selling TV on DVD title in history.

Best Buy reported that the "Chappelle's Show: Season 2 Uncensored" DVD is its number one selling DVD title. The DVD is a three-disc boxed set featuring 13 episodes from season 2.

"Chappelle's Show: Season One Uncensored" DVD, is the best-selling TV on DVD Title. It has sold close to 3 million copies, outpacing "Seinfeld" and "The Family Guy" for the top spot in overall sales. Thomas F. Lesinski, president of worldwide home entertainment for Paramount Pictures, said the title is "poised to reach the 2 million-unit mark within the next 30 days."

Season 3 of the show has been delayed because of Chappelle’s stress problems. The controversy has made headlines worldwide and landed Chappelle on the magazine covers including Time Magazine. Chappelle was reportedly paid $50 million by Comedy Central to do the series.
