As the world's first production full-hybrid vehicle equipped with a V8 powertrain, just about every feature on the Lexus' 2008 LS 600h L breaks new ground.

The heart of this remarkable vehicle is the Lexus Hybrid Drive system, combining an all-new 5.0-liter V8 gas engine with a high-output electronic motor, providing the LS 600h L with environmental efficiency as well as an impressive estimated 430-horsepower total system output.

The LS Series are equipped with the highest levels of technology and ultra-luxury features ever offered on the Lexus flagship. The LS 600h L will also be the world's first vehicle to be equipped with LED headlamps for night and low-beam use. Other amenities for the 2008 Lexus LS 600h L include hands-free park assist function, voice-activated hard disk drive Navigation with Bluetooth technology and XM Radio real-time traffic, a rear-seat DVD entertainment system with a 9-inch drop-down screen, and a specially developed 19-speaker 450-watt Mark Levinson Reference Surround Sound audio system.

With a Super Ultra-Low Emission Vehicle (SULEV) rating, the LS 600h L has nearly 70 percent fewer smog-forming emissions than the "cleanest" of its competitors. The LS 600h L will be on sale in the U.S. this summer with a base price of US$104,000.
