Courvoisier, The Brandy of Napoleon. In 1869 Courvoisier was granted the title of "Official supplier to the Imperial Court" by Napoleon III. Courvoisier international reputation is that of legendary quality.

Brandy is a liquor distilled from wine or other fermented fruit juice and is aged in oak barrels, which contributes to the flavor. The finest brandies are called "cognacs."
Unlike wine cognac does not improve within the bottle. The decanter (a bottle with a stopper; for serving wine or water) should be stored upright and the brandy most be kept away from the cork. Cognac will lose is enhanced flavor if it is kept for a long period of time, so drink up.

• Taste best when gently warmed by cupping the snifter (a globular glass with a small top; used for serving brandy) in your hand.
  

• Savor the aroma while keeping the glass at lease six inches from your face.

• When you are sipping, nicely swish with closed lips before swallowing, allowing your palate to take in the pleasure.
