50 Cents' G-Unit expands relationship with mobile media company Zingy

G-Unit, the urban brand founded by hip-hop artist 50 Cent, expanded its relationship with mobile media company Zingy to create a series of games based on G-Unit artists including Lloyd Banks, Young Buck and Tony Yayo.

The first of these games "G-Unit: Free Yayo", will be available this summer in cooperation with developer Upstart Games. Players choose to be 50 Cent, Banks or Young Buck as they try to rescue Tony Yayo from an evil record label.

Players can win unique G-Unit mobile content like ringtones and wallpapers as they reach certain game levels.

This is the first foray into mobile games for both Zingy and G-Unit which represent an extension of what already is a very successful relationship because Zingy is the exclusive distributor of 50 Cent voice ringtones, ringback tones, voicemail greetings, wallpapers and video ringtones.

Zingy delivers its content to most major North American operators and has distribution partnerships with top media companies and Web portals including AOL, Microsoft's MSN and MTV.
