Chuck D Launching Mobile Company

Hip Hop icon and legendary rapper Chuck D, Public Enemy's front man is entering the wireless industry with his new company Chuck D Mobile.

Chuck D says his company will send full-length music and videos to wireless users and in doing so, create an alternative to radio and TV.

He has partnered with M-Qube, a company that helps other companies make their content available on mobile phones, to develop the service.

"I'm a fan of spreading artistry and for artists to do their own thing," Chuck D says. "But content creators usually have to run into middle men first who judge their art before it goes to the masses. It should be the other way."

The service will serve as a way for artists to more easily get their music out to the masses.

The full details on how Chuck D Mobile will operate are still unclear at this time.
