Clarence Otis Gets Raise and $1.09 Million Bonus

Clarence Otis Jr., CEO of Darden Restaurants has received a bonus of $1.09 million for the fiscal year ended May 28, up from $592,600 the previous year, the company said Monday.

Otis's salary also increased by 37% in 2006 to $804,113, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Darden Restaurants, Inc., headquartered in Orlando, FL, owns and operates over 1,400 Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Bahama Breeze, Smokey Bones and Seasons 52 restaurants with annual sales exceeding $5.7 billion.

Otis has been with the company since 1995.
