Google Acquires Neven Vision

It appears Google Inc. has acquired another company. There's a post on the Google Blog that says the Neven Vision team is now part of Google.

"We've been working to make Picasa (Google's free photo-organizing software) even better when it comes to searching for your own photos—to make finding them be as easy as finding stuff on the web. Luckily we've found some people who share this goal, and are excited that the Neven Vision team is now part of Google."

Santa Monica-based Neven Vision, was founded about 10 years ago as a biometrics company but in the last few years changed its focus to mobile visual search.

There isn't any other information available on the transaction from Google or any sign on Neven Vision website that any deal has been made.
