Damon Dash Inks License Deal for Pro-Keds

Music and fashion mogul Damon Dash continues the expansion of his empire. Dash's Damon Dash Enterprises, has entered into a licensing agreement with Stride Rite Corp. to produce and distribute men's, women's and children's apparel under the Pro-Keds brand.

Dash plans to launch the line at the MAGIC show in Las Vegas in February and will be in stores next summer.

Dash also plans to launch a new clothing line called CEO, which will reflect a more mature look and a higher price point, AllHipHop.com reports.

"I thought it would be interesting to have someone from the urban marketplace to attack fashion from that aspect - not regular fashion, but couture. I've learned a lot about fashion, not just urban fashion," Dash said. "It's a different work ethic."

Dash has also joined forces with web designer Kwame DeCuir to launch BlockSavvy.com, an invite-only social site. The new site,  geared as an alternative to Myspace.com, targets fashion-conscious teens and urbanites.
