Diddy Halt's "Sean by Sean Combs"

After finally lunching his womens line earlier in the year after several false starts Combs is temporarily discontinuing the line. The New York Post reports that the line had a strong start at stores like Bergdorf Goodman and Saks.

A Bergdorf Goodman executive told the Post, the upscale line had been selling well. "Our buy for spring was twice the size of what it was for fall," he said.

Combs' Sean John company recently signed a licensing agreement with the G-III Apparel Group to manufacture a less expensive line of women's clothes. The lower cost line is expected to have a broader reach and the potential to achieve higher sales.

A Sean John spokesman said, "We look forward to re-entering the upscale market at a future date."
