Oprah Still America's Richest Black

One billion dollars is no longer enough to land you on the Forbes 400. The price of admission to this, the 25th anniversary edition of the Forbes 400, is $1.3 billion, up $300 million from last year.

The collective net worth of the America's richest rose $290 billion to $1.54 trillion. The only black American on the list this year is queen Oprah. Oprah Winfrey, 53, is ranked as the 165th richest person in America with a net worth of $2.5 billion.

Robert Johnson, who became America's first black billionaire in 2001, climbed back into this years billionaire rank with a net worth of $1.1 billion but did not make the Forbes 400 list, with it's $1.3 billion cut off.

Microsoft founder Bill Gates with a net wealth of $59 billion continued to be the wealthiest American for the 14th straight year, closely followed by investor Warren Buffett with a net wealth of $52 billion. The pair's fortunes each grew by $6 billion in the past year, Forbes said.

Las Vegas Sands owner, Sheldon Adelson, 74, with a worth of $28 billion and Chief Executive of Oracle Corp, Larry Ellison with a fortune of $26 billion remain at third and fourth position.

Google co-founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page, came in at fifth position with fortunes of $18.5 billion each. They are also jointly the second-youngest billionaires on the list.

The youngest billionaire on the list is John Arnold, 32, who runs hedge fund Centaurus Energy. His net worth is listed at $1.5 billion and is ranks the 317th richest American.
