Morgan Freeman's Revelations Entertainment and JPL Form Distribution Relationship for Space Footage and Original Productions
Morgan Freeman's Revelations Entertainment broadband entertainment division, ClickStar Inc., (cstar.com) announced their newest content distribution agreement with Pasadena’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). ClickStar and JPL have established a relationship to distribute space-related educational content about NASA missions managed by JPL-Caltech. ClickStar will work with JPL to produce educational programs and interactive media experiences to broaden the scope of content on ClickStar and to support NASA's educational goal of inspiring the next generation of explorers.

The first of these productions, Thought Spots™ have recently completed production. Morgan Freeman, in association with JPL, Revelations Entertainment, and ClickStar, Inc., appears in and narrates this first series of Thought Spots to be aired on ClickStar’s new broadband entertainment service launching in the 4th quarter of 2006. Thought Spots is an insightful and fact-based series featuring actual space exploration footage provided by JPL. The Thought Spots will be available on Our Space, an Artist Created Channel Morgan Freeman is programming with ClickStar. Mr. Freeman, as a result of his experiences as an accomplished pilot and sailor, is passionate about space and its exploration. The opportunity to produce a broadband channel for ClickStar focusing on science-based exploration, education, and discovery is a lifelong passion for Mr. Freeman.
Our Space is the newest Artist Created Channel to be announced by ClickStar for its lineup debuting December 2006 over broadband. Our Space, hosted by Morgan Freeman, includes films and original programming featuring science-based exploration of space, the earth, and under the sea.
Thought Spots are fact-based shorts (3-5 minutes), filmed, in part, on location at Pasadena's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The Thought Spots incorporate actual footage from Mars and other space explorations reproduced by ground-breaking animation talent at JPL. The video segments will be companion pieces for films airing on the Our Space channel.
As part of the agreement with JPL, ClickStar will offer the Thought Spots to over 1200 HUD Neighborhood Network Centers, The National Science Teachers Association, and other space-related educational institutions associated with JPL education and public outreach projects.
James Ackerman, CEO of ClickStar, said, "This new relationship with JPL will help bring the excitement of space exploration, and all the knowledge gained, to people everywhere."
Morgan Freeman said, "I, like millions of others, have an interest and fascination with worlds that exist beyond our own. JPL is world-renowned for space exploration and I am very excited to work with the people at JPL to develop more distribution opportunities for these compelling educational series."
