MV Transportation Names Bill Lewis New Regional Vice President

Mr. Rodney “Bill” Lewis has been promoted to Regional Vice President of Operations for MV Transportation, Inc. In his new position, Lewis, will provide corporate guidance and oversight of eight MV operations in Northern California, including the company’s divisions in Livermore, San Jose, Salinas, Hollister, Union City, Pinole, Santa Rosa, and Petaluma.

Mr. Lewis brings extensive transit management experience and a wealth of knowledge to this position.  Since 2004, Lewis has served successfully as General Manager for the MV Livermore division.

Barbara Duffy, General Manager of the Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority, recently hailed Lewis as one of the “best managers the authority has ever had.”

Prior to joining MV, Lewis worked for 16 years with Greyhound Lines. He held his last position for eight years as District Manager for the entire Northwest. Prior to Greyhound he worked as a Senior Manager for Emery Airfreight and Purolator Courier Corp.

“I can’t think of a more deserving person to be promoted to RVP than Bill,” said Mr. Kevin Klika, MV’s President of West Coast Operations. “Bill has been a solid leader and general manager since joining MV, and has always made it clear that his plan was to become a part of our senior management team. I am proud to have him on our team.”

Based in Fairfield, California, MV Transportation is the largest minority and woman-owned privately held transportation management firm in the United States. MV operates more than 140 contracts to provide transit service in 26 states and the District of Columbia. The company employs more than 9,000 transit professionals.
