Ann Fudge to join Rockefeller Foundation Board of Trustees

The Rockefeller Foundation today announced the appointment of three new trustees to its board: David Rockefeller Jr., director and former chair of Rockefeller & Co., Inc.; Ann M. Fudge, chairman and CEO of Young & Rubicam Brands; and Rajat Gupta, former managing director of McKinsey & Company. All three will join the November meeting of the Foundation's Board.

Ann M. Fudge, 55, is chairman and CEO of Young & Rubicam Brands. Prior to joining Young & Rubicam, she ran a division of Kraft Foods. Fudge also serves on the board of directors of General Electric, the board of overseers of Harvard University, the board of directors of Catalyst, and is a trustee of the Brookings Institution and of Morehouse College.

Fudge said, "It is a privilege and an honor to be asked to serve on the board of the Rockefeller Foundation, with its long and storied tradition of working on the root causes of serious problems and finding creative solutions to complex global challenges."

"With the addition of these three new trustees, we are even better positioned to advance our work into the 21st century," said Judith Rodin, president of the Rockefeller Foundation. "Each of these distinguished individuals is a true visionary, who will undoubtedly make significant contributions to the Foundation and our beneficiaries in the years ahead."

The Rockefeller Foundation was established in 1913 by John D. Rockefeller Sr. to "promote the well-being" of humanity by addressing the root causes of serious problems. With assets of more than $3 billion, it is one of the nation's largest private foundations. The Foundation works internationally to expand opportunities for poor and vulnerable people and to help ensure that the benefits of globalization are shared more equitably.
