Will Smith is Hollywood's Best-Paid Actor

Forbes magazine has released it's annual ranking of "Hollywood's Top Earners" and topping this years list is actor Will Smith.

Forbes estimates that Hollywood's top 10 leading men earned a combined $487 million between June 1, 2007, and June 1, 2008, compared with the leading ladies' haul of $244.5 million.

Mr. Smith is Hollywood's best-paid actors, taking home an estimated $80 million between June 1, 2007, and June 1, 2008. He is the first actor in Hollywood history to have eight straight movies eclipse $100 million at the box office. What's even more remarkable is that he has done this across multiple movie genre--be it sci-fi thriller (Warner Bros.' I Am Legend) or sappy drama (Sony's The Pursuit of Happyness)--he can deliver an audience.

Coming in second on the list is Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp, who earned $72 million this year.

With earnings of $55 million, Eddie Murphy and Mike Myers tied for third. Leonardo DiCaprio rounds out the top five, raking in $45 million during the year.
